Best Foods To Eat Before Walking
Experts agree that it's important to have a light snack about one hour before exercising. It will help stabilize your blood sugar, which prevents headaches, dizziness and nausea. It also gives you energy so you'll feel revitalized and strong while walking.
An hour before walking, have a snack that is high in carbohydrates because they are the body’s main source of energy. You can also combine a small amount of protein in your pre-walking snack. And don’t forget to drink water!
Here are some ideas of snacks to eat before walking:
- Cottage cheese and fruit
- Sports drink or fruit juice

How Walkable Is Your Neighborhood?

This is a great way to get more walking in when running errands. Instead of driving to the locations near you, you can walk to them. Love it!
