Walking works for guys too!
by Steve H
When I started I was 45 years old, sedentary and obese at 240lbs and 5 ft 7 in tall. My health was poor with high blood pressure, sleep apnea, fatty liver, diverticulitis, Grave's disease, reflux disease and started to see cholesterol issues. I couldn't walk a flight of stairs without getting winded.
I started at 5 day x 30 minutes per week and also the 10,000 steps a day program. These were great and really got me hooked on walking. Now, I walk, hike, run or do elliptical 6 days x 45 minutes per day. My fitness and energy are amazing. At 175 lbs, I'm off medicine and feel great!
Walking is great way to start a fitness journey. I love it!
